Vets "Out Of The Rough" 5th Annual Golf Outing

Vets Out of the Rough, Inc. is a private charity and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2020, located at the Northport Golf Course on the grounds of the Northport VA Medical Center.
Our program proudly serves over 170 veterans and continues to grow, operating entirely through donations and the generosity of compassionate supporters. Vets Out of the Rough provides a supportive community for veterans who have participated in therapy programs at the Northport VA Hospital and are facing challenges such as PTSD, addiction recovery, homelessness, suicide prevention, and other service-related injuries.
Throughout the golf season, every Monday veterans gather for the Vets Out of the Rough Golf Program where they reconnect with fellow veterans through the game of golf, building camaraderie and lasting friendships. Each gathering concludes with a shared dinner generously provided by our local restaurant community. During the winter months, our weekly bowling league keeps veterans connected, continuing the friendships and support that make this program so meaningful. Vets Out of the Rough helps veterans rebuild connection, community, and purpose-one round at a time.
